Shikho, the pioneering edtech startup from Bangladesh, is carving a significant niche in the digital learning landscape. With a mission encapsulated by its slogan, "Digital Learning for Bangladesh", the company is dedicated to modernizing and localizing supplementary education across schools, colleges, and beyond. Founded in 2019, Shikho targets an expansive market of 85 million Bengali-speaking students under the age of 25.
The platform's ecosystem is crafted to support the complete educational journey, with offerings such as interactive live classes, animated lessons, a comprehensive library of questions, and personalized performance tracking. All these components aim to provide a cohesive and affordable learning experience.
Operating from four offices in Dhaka and Jessore, Shikho employs 450 people. It has raised $7 million USD in funding, supported by investors including Learn Capital, Wavemaker Partners, and Anchorless Bangladesh. The latest $900K Seed Round, closed in February 2023, saw participation from Goodwater Capital and Sturgeon Capital.
