Skyrora

Skyrora, founded in 2017, is a UK-based company dedicated to creating sustainable space solutions. With its slogan, "Making Space Sustainable," Skyrora targets the burgeoning space industry by developing advanced launch vehicles that provide sovereign launch capabilities within the United Kingdom.

The company's unique approach features a gradual, 'step-by-step' strategy enabling rigorous testing and minimizing risks. By integrating proven technologies and advanced additive manufacturing, Skyrora draws inspiration from UK's space heritage. Notably, it uses the same propellant combination as Black Arrow and incorporates learnings from Skylark to enhance its suborbital tests.

Their suborbital lineup includes four rockets: Skylark Nano, Skylark Micro, SkyHy, and Skylark-L. In October 2022, an attempt was made to launch Skylark-L from Iceland.

Skyrora XL, their orbital vehicle, is a three-stage rocket with re-ignitable third-stage maneuverability, enabling precise satellite deployment. It can carry payloads of up to 315kg to heights of 500km.

The company last secured funding from Max Polyakov via an angel investment on 01 November 2025, indicating ongoing support and confidence in its mission.
