VODORASLO® is a Bulgarian startup company creating #oceaninabox. The company is focused on developing a domestic photobioreactor device for air purification, using algae as the main resource. The product serves as an indoor air solution for homes, schools, and offices, capable of purifying gases such as CO2, NOX, SO2, as well as larger pollutants like PM2.5, PM10, and VOCs. This is achieved through a process of photosynthesis where algae consumes the gases to produce oxygen and biomass. The biomass generated can be utilized as a natural fertilizer, biodegradable packaging, food supply, pigment, or in cosmetics. In 2021, VODORASLO developed its first device, created one hundred MVPs, and donated them to 25 Bulgarian schools. The company is currently working on a second prototype. Furthermore, VODORASLO has long-term plans to develop more complex B2B installations for bus stops, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, public spaces, and buildings. Additionally, the company is engaged in a long-term project in the field of material science and development of algae and seaweed-based products, including plastics.
Last investment of €30.00K was obtained through a Pre Seed Round investment on 20 September 2023, with Vitosha Venture Partners contributing as the investor.
