Doorway Capital is an independent and specialist provider of risk capital to law firms. We recognise that law firms expect funding to be tailored to their own individual needs, and because we invest our very own capital, we are committed to providing highly creative, flexible and responsive solutions. We lend! Doorway Capital offers evergreen facilities of between £50,000 and £20 million to firms authorised by the SRA to practise law in England and Wales. These facilities can be used to fund disbursements, acquisitions, lock-up, tax liabilities or anything else. Best of all, if your firm needs to grow, there are no scheduled payments or capital to make. We buy! We are willing to purchase paid disbursements from law firms for up to 80% of their face value. These means capital (tied up in disbursements) earning little or no return can be redeployed into more profitable activities of the firm or returned to its partners. It also means that there is no loan or financing to repay. We invest! We are authorised by both the SRA and the BSB as a non-lawyer owner and investor in law firms. If a law firm is looking for a long-term investor, we want to contribute not just capital but our experience and expertise in the UK legal services market.
