Acne Studios is a Stockholm-based fashion house that has carved a niche with its multidisciplinary approach. Inspired by founder and Creative Director Jonny Johansson’s passion for photography, art, and contemporary culture, the brand has evolved into a well-respected creator of ready-to-wear, magazines, furniture, books, and exhibitions.
Operating from its headquarters in Stockholm, housed in a restored brutalist masterpiece that formerly served as the Czechoslovakian Embassy, Acne Studios has created a fashion school-like atmosphere. The brand also has offices in Paris, Empoli, New York, Shanghai, and Tokyo, reflecting its global vision.
With double-digit growth for most years since its establishment in 1996, Acne Studios has established over 60 own stores worldwide, including flagship stores in major cities. Each store embodies a distinctive character while reflecting the brand's identity.
Emphasizing sustainability and strong supplier relationships, Acne Studios has been independently verified as a “Leader” by Fair Wear Foundation for six consecutive years. Moreover, it has been an official member of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode since 2013.
The latest Corporate Round investment for Acne Studios was made on 14 December 2018, with IDG Capital being the investor.
