Bandyer (now Kaleyra)

Bandyer is an Italy-based startup that offers video technology to transform human behaviors into actionable data for business innovation. Recently, it became a part of Kaleyra, Inc. (NYSE American: KLR) (KLR WS), a global group providing mobile communication services to various industries worldwide. Established in 1999 as Ubiquity, the company went through mergers and rebranding, ultimately acquiring US-based Hook Mobile in 2018 and global mobile engagement provider mGage in 2021. In the same year, it also acquired the Italy-based video solutions provider Bandyer. With a customer base of 3800+ companies globally, Kaleyra's proprietary platform and robust APIs manage multi-channel integrated communication services on a global scale, including messaging, rich messaging, instant messaging, push notifications, email, voice, video capabilities, and chatbots. Kaleyra handles billions of messages monthly with over 1600 operator connections in more than 190 countries, including all tier-1 US carriers. The latest investment in Bandyer was a €1.20M Seed Round investment on 01 June 2019.
