BILLIANI is a well-established Italian company that has been manufacturing wooden chairs and furniture since 1911 in Manzano, Italy. The company has a rich history of collaborating with renowned Italian and international designers, contributing to the legacy of Italian design.
Founded in 1911 in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy, BILLIANI originally started as a small workshop in a strategic area, a contributing factor to the establishment of the productive district of the Friuli chair. As the Italian economy prospered, the company expanded and became more structured, and in the 1980s, its international presence in the contract scene began to make an impact.
In February 2019, the company appointed architect and designer Cristina Celestino to lead its artistic direction, taking charge of product design, development, and the brand's presentation. This move aimed to solidify its presence in the residential sector and establish a stronger brand image. It is noteworthy that BILLIANI continues to produce 100% of its products within the specialized workshops in the "chair triangle" area of northeast Italy, each with a deep-rooted woodworking culture.
As a manufacturing and construction company, BILLIANI remains rooted in its heritage while evolving to meet the demands of the contemporary design market.
