Bruin Manufacturing Company, with a slogan of "75 Years of Innovation and Success," has been a pioneer in precision plastic injection molding since its inception in 1949. Founded by Clair and Dale Devick in Marshalltown, Iowa, the company initially started as a small job shop with three die-cast machines. However, it quickly made a mark in the industry by introducing the first manually operated plastic injection molding machine, made from salvaged parts, in 1958.

Throughout the following decades, the company continued to innovate, notably by introducing an automatic molding machine in 1965. This marked a significant milestone in Bruin Manufacturing's development. The company further expanded its machine range from the 1970s through the 1990s, acquiring equipment with clamping capacities of 25 to 50 tons.

Notably, in 2016, Bruin Manufacturing made a strategic shift by investing in larger horizontal injection molding machines and opening a second production facility in Newton, Iowa. This significant expansion enabled the company to produce larger parts and use standard transfer molds, thereby enhancing its production capabilities.

At present, Bruin Manufacturing's equipment ranges from 25 tons to 165 tons, reflecting its advanced production capabilities and dedication to superior customer service. The company employs cutting-edge lights-out production technology for continuous, automated operation, ensuring high-quality results and cost efficiency.
