Chimple Learning is an early learning educational app developed by Sutara Learning Foundation, a non-profit organization aiming to provide foundational education to children. The app, a Global Learning XPRIZE Finalist, is available for free on the Google Play Store and accessible on any Android device.
Chimple's goal is to make basic reading, writing, digital skills, and math engaging for children aged 3-8. The app is designed to deliver high-quality, gamified learning experiences to all students, regardless of access to traditional educational resources. Its personalized and adaptive learning system empowers children with minimal adult intervention, enabling them to become literate and proficient in basic education.
Designed for the Global Learning XPRIZE competition, the app was subject to a field trial in Tanzania for 15 months, resulting in significant learning gains among 7-10-year-old children. Selected as the top educational product in the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Challenge 2019 by MahaIT, Chimple Learning has also conducted a pilot literacy and numeracy program in 10 BMC schools around Chembur and Govandi, impacting 1698 students and training 47 teachers on tablet-based educational intervention.
