Cookie Department (Cookie DPT) was founded in 2018 by Wil Fang, an entrepreneur with a passion for bringing authentic American-style cookies to Hong Kong. This venture was inspired by his longing for the comforting taste of home. Having started his career in the fashion industry in the United States, Fang brought his expertise and love for decadent cookies to Asia, where he noticed a gap in the market.
Initially, Fang's indulgent cookies gained popularity in Taipei, leading to the launch of his bakery in Hong Kong in May 2018. The venture witnessed rapid success among the city's food enthusiasts and garnered attention from the luxury and fashion industries, facilitating collaborations and events.
