Du Anyam is a social enterprise based in Indonesia, founded in 2014. The company's slogan "Social Enterprise | Empower Women | Promote Culture | Improve Livelihoods" encapsulates its core values. Du Anyam aims to empower women, promote culture, and improve livelihoods in rural Indonesia through the production and distribution of wicker crafts. The enterprise has made significant strides in achieving its objectives by connecting the existing skills and resources within the women community. Currently, Du Anyam is working with over 500 women across 20 villages in East Flores, Indonesia, effectively increasing their income by 40%.
Notably, Du Anyam strategically partners with hotels and companies to supply high-quality, functional wicker crafts, totaling over 50,000 units. The enterprise has also gained distinction as the official merchandiser of ASIAN GAMES 2018, being the only social enterprise and craft-based company to achieve this recognition.
The latest venture funding for Du Anyam was a Pre Seed Round investment on 08 March 2018 led by Northstar Group. This investment has enabled the company to expand its impact and replicate its women economic empowerment program in additional areas of Indonesia, including Lembata Island, Nabire in Papua, and Berau in East Kalimantan. Du Anyam operates in the E-Commerce sector and continues to demonstrate tangible contributions to women's empowerment, cultural promotion, and livelihood improvement in Indonesia.
