The company gained notable attention by launching the world’s first fully operational, regulatory-approved on-demand drone delivery service in Reykjavik, Iceland, in August 2017. Their successful participation in the FAA’S Drone Pilot Program, alongside North Carolina’s Department of Transportation, underscores their continued progress in the United States market.

With drones capable of carrying up to 6.5 lbs over approximately 6 miles, Flytrex efficiently addresses the city's logistic demands. Backed by a Late VC investment from Uber on September 1, 2025, Flytrex appears poised for further expansion and innovation.
