Founded in 2001, Gemelo started as a multinational company, backed by Compaq and Intel, dedicated to providing storage and backup services, becoming the first Storage Service Provider in Latin America.
In 2005, it transitioned into a 100% Brazilian company and expanded its portfolio to offer on-demand infrastructure for storage, processing, and connectivity projects. Additionally, it provided remote management and monitoring, as well as 2nd and 3rd level application support.
By 2008, Gemelo ventured into Full IT Outsourcing, solidifying its position in the market, serving companies across education, finance, services, manufacturing, and telecommunications sectors.
Subsequently, it extended its services to Business Process Outsourcing, assuming responsibility for business availability.
In 2010, the company received an investment from Invest Tech, renowned for its support of innovative and high-growth potential businesses, which propelled Gemelo to further enhance its service offerings.
The last documented investment was a BRL 2.00M Venture Round investment led by Invest Tech on 28 November 2011. Operating within the Information Technology industry from its headquarters in Brazil, Gemelo has demonstrated a successful evolution as a technology service provider with a strategic and supportive partnership in place.
