IMUTEX Ltd is a joint venture between SEEK Group and hVIVO, part of Open Orphan plc, established in 2016. The company's mission is to expedite the development of a Broad-Spectrum ‘Universal’ Influenza Vaccine, FLU-v, and a Mosquito-Borne Diseases Vaccine, AGS-v. These vaccines are identified as key public health priorities by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States.
IMUTEX collaborates with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to hasten the development of both vaccines. The last investment of £14.00M was secured through a Seed Round from hVIVO and SEEK on 28 April 2016.
