PlanAtEarth is a non-profit Voluntary Organisation dedicated to re-utilising discards and driving Climate Action for achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Since its establishment in 2009, the organization has been actively involved in various environmental conservation areas such as plastic waste management, Ocean Plastic Recovery, Wetland Conservation, Green Fuel initiatives, Food Security measures, Organic Farming, Biodiversity Conservation, and more.
Community Engagement is a crucial focus for PlanAtEarth, with an emphasis on Capacity Building among climate vulnerable communities and Advocacy to build Climate Resilient Communities. Notably, the organization secured the prestigious HCLTech Grant in 2023 among 15,000 NGOs across India, receiving a grant of 5 Crore INR. Furthermore, the projects undertaken by PlanAtEarth are closely aligned with Government schemes for environment conservation and are predominantly funded by CSR initiatives of organizations committed to this cause, including HCL Tech, DP World, and Apollo Tyres Ltd.
The flagship projects like DROP (Drive to Recover Ocean Plastic), VMF (Vembanad's Macro Fight), MARC (Mangrove Restoration and Conservation), and Plastic Waste Management are significant initiatives in the organization's portfolio, funded by the aforementioned partners. The latest investment of INR 50.00M Grant was secured on 26 February 2023 through the HCL Grant program, indicating sustained support and recognition for the impactful work of PlanAtEarth.
