About Plasta Rei

Plasta Rei, founded in 2021, is a manufacturing startup that emerged as a result of Francesco Borgomeo's vision to repurpose a chemical plant located in the municipality of Cisterna di Latina. This plant is part of the international group Ecolab-Nalco, a leader in the production of chemical additives for the industry. The facility, which has been operating for over 70 years, was facing closure due to various contingencies, putting all employees at risk of dismissal. Plasta Rei took on the challenge of not only preserving the expertise, know-how, and resources of the site but also redirecting them towards new markets in the circular economy. This initiative aims to secure continued employment and a future outlook for the employees and the local area. With no specific headquarters or disclosed investment details as of yet, the slogan "The New Plastic Paradigm" encapsulates the ambitious and innovative spirit of Plasta Rei as it navigates the path towards a sustainable and circular manufacturing model.
