Parque Tecnológico Itaipu - Brasil is an innovative ecosystem located in #FozdoIguaçu, in the West of Paraná. It serves as a hub for sustainable solutions for energy transition and future technologies, integrating educational institutions, companies, and government entities to foster knowledge exchange and synergy for societal solutions.
Founded in 2005, the Itaipu Parquetec was established as part of the expanded mission of Itaipu Binacional, its parent company. Itaipu's mission since the 2000s has been to generate high-quality electrical energy with social and environmental responsibility, driving sustainable economic, tourist, and technological development in Brazil and Paraguay.
Comprising the Triple Helix - consisting of companies and educational institutions focused on promoting innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship - Itaipu Parquetec has evolved into a significant enabler of the ecosystem. Its integration of Project Execution Centers led to its designation as an Institution of Science and Technology (ICT) in 2020. This recognition was based on its promotion of synergy among companies, research and innovation centers, laboratories, and educational institutions for development within the Park.
