SOLFEX energy systems, founded in 2006, is a leading UK distributor specializing in renewable energy systems, notably solar thermal and photovoltaic power products, as well as Air Source Heat Pumps and underfloor heating systems.
Since its inception, the firm has leveraged exclusive partnerships with top European manufacturers for their 'own branded' solar thermal equipment. In 2009, SOLFEX demonstrated strategic foresight by expanding into the photovoltaic market just before the UK's Feed in Tariff was introduced.
In January 2013, the company was acquired by Travis Perkins group, which operates over 1,800 sites across the UK and Ireland. This acquisition aims to bolster Travis Perkins' energy-efficient building initiatives, positioning SOLFEX energy systems as a pivotal component.
The company's proactive approach, underscored by the Green Deal and Renewable Heat Incentive, reflects the growing demand for renewable energy products amid rising energy prices. They received a £1.25M Seed Round investment in September 2011 from Panoramic Growth Equity.
