Voonik, founded in 2013 by ISB Alumnus Sujayath Ali and Navaneetha Krishnan, is a rapidly expanding fashion shopping platform based in India. Its core proposition is the convenience of personalized fashion shopping through a single transactional interface that amalgamates various stores. Voonik utilizes machine predictions and expert curation to address the common query, "What should I wear today?"
The platform has successfully captured the mobile-commerce wave by launching a highly engaging Android app with a Tinder-like interface, resulting in over a million downloads shortly after release. By the end of November, Voonik positioned itself as India's fastest-growing fashion app, outpacing competitors like Limeroad and Craftsvilla.
Incubated by Microsoft Ventures and backed by notable investors such as Sequoia and Seedfund, Voonik most recently received a merger investment from ShopUp in February 2020. The company is driven by a dynamic team of individuals passionate about shaping the future of fashion retail.
